Hi friends. I haven't updated this thing in quite some time. I am uncertain as to how many people still read this thing, but if you do, keep on readin'. School has been keeping me so busy, along with work (
this is where I work - so awesome). I work with vintage textiles, garments, accessories, and so much more. I love it & I love working with my co-worker Sarah. She's the best. Below are some examples of a few vintage garments & textiles.

I've been gearing up for summer by applying for summer internships & 28,000 other things. I hope everything works out in my favor. Crossing these bony fingers! Oh, and I've also joined yet another social media platform or two,
Tumblr &
Pinterest (I AM SO OBSESSED). This image below describes my initial feelings about Pinterest, and the aftermath of finding out what I got myself into.

So, like I said, school and life has been keeping me busy, but that doesn't mean I haven't been focusing on the business, because PEOPLE, OH I HAVE. Oh yes! Last weekend, I went to NYC with
Susan &
Samantha for a buying trip, and found some pretty sweet trinkets for jewelry, in addition to this awesome, vintage photo. Look at those faces! My heart melted a little when I saw this image & I had to have it. I have a lot of great ideas in store for Spring & Summer, so I'm really eager to create and share with each of you. Neon & bright hues, and of course, in a simple way.
In a week, I'll be traveling to see my dearest friend
Kristen, in Charleston, SC for Spring Break. I'm so excited to see her & her fiancé, Tim. I love them both. Such sweet & creative individuals. Kristen may not realize this, but February of 2011 is when we officially became friends (FACEBOOK FRIENDS). So happy friend-anniversary, Kristen! I am so lucky to have a friend like her, seriously. Isn't it cool when you meet a new person and you just get each other? It's so awesome! Sometimes, our brains are like one. I mean that! We've become such great friends/creative business partners, which is so hard to find! Anyway, I will be soaking up the sun & as always, I am sure we will be discussing (and maybe making) so many creative things for our collaboration. Images of our apparel/accessories collection will be appearing soon, so keep your eyes peeled. I will also be going home to see my family, which I'm very excited about as well. I haven't seen them since Christmas, which is so sad.
This weekend, I'll be taking a break from all the midterm insanity of graduate school by going with my beau (Hi Charlie) to NYC! We are so excited. Seriously. We are staying at the ACE hotel, which I am also thrilled about. If anyone has any NYC recommendations, let me know!!! I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Stay tuned for good things. I promise you won't be disappointed, and I promise not to wait a month to post again. xo
